Spending half my life playing in bands and being on the road myself I'm no stranger to the struggle of making ends mean – especially in the underground music scene. To be able to focus on creating music, go on tour, book studio time or print merch, artists today are more than ever dependent on royality payouts especially from streaming services and live gigs. Reason enough to support my friends at 450 with this project.
450 Agency is an independent operating artist managing and publishing agency with a strong focus on heavy guitar-driven hardcore and metal bands. The ArtistHub is a web app that enables contract artists to submit their release and live-show data to claim and receive royalties and make it easier for 450 to manage and process artist submissions.
I did the art direction and the user interface design of the various stages of the app. We started with a fairly simple MVP to work our way through feedback itterations to make adjustments and streamline the app to serve the user's needs in the best way possible.
